The
baitrunner
ST 2500 FB
baitrunner reel is the entry-level model in Shimano's small baitrunner reel range. Nevertheless, like all Shimano reels, it benefits from numerous technologies that set it apart from other reels on the market in this price range. The "Varispeed" oscillation optimizes line lay on the spool, improves casting, and offers greater flexibility during fights. The "Super Stopper II" eliminates play in the anti-reverse mechanism. The body and rotor are made of XT-7 material, making it remarkably lightweight for a reel in its class. At 2500 size, this reel is very versatile and will allow you to target carp and large fish in commercial fisheries. Its versatility allows it to be used equally well for feeder fishing or method feeder fishing for hard-fighting fish such as small carp, crucian carp, and tench, found in ponds, lakes, and slow-moving rivers.
