38 is a smallcrankbait
designed to swim at a maximum depth of 0.60 m. It is therefore particularly well-suited for prospecting shallow areas (edges, beaches, weed beds, etc.) in search of the predators you're targeting. Furthermore, thisIllex lure
is designed to displace a significant volume of water despite its small size. It will therefore be easily spotted from afar by predators lying in wait, who will not hesitate to move several meters to seize it. Extremely simple to work, the Chubby 38 will fully express its qualities when you work it with a straight retrieve. It's worth noting that this lure is well-suited to all retrieve speeds, from the slowest to entice lethargic predators to the fastest to trigger reflex strikes from active and/or unwary predators. In all situations, don't hesitate to intersperse the retrieve with pauses of varying lengths during which the floating lure slowly rises in the water column, mimicking prey trying to reach the surface. This will often trigger strikes. Furthermore, this crankbait boasts realistic colors and a meticulous finish, both of which are powerful tools for outsmarting wary predators and stimulating their aggression. Finally, the Chubby 38 is equipped with two incredibly sharp treble hooks that will increase your hookset rate while significantly reducing the chances of lost fish. Note: if you use this lure for fishing For trout fishing, we recommend replacing the treble hooks with single hooks to avoid unnecessarily injuring your catch and to make it easier to unhook them before releasing them.
