Pardo Shoulder Feather Grade 1
Wet fly tiers know pardo rooster feathers for creating the wing of the very famous "palaretta". The bright, fine, and stiff fibers of pardo shoulder feathers offer the possibility of creating formidable wet fly wings by using pinches of fibers and taking care to distribute them evenly in a star pattern during tying. These fibers vibrate and shine underwater, making wet flies very effective in currents. Some dry fly anglers swear by pardo feathers for creating sedge wings. These caddisfly imitations are particularly shiny on the surface, enticing even the most wary fish. Simply attach a pinch of pardo rooster feather fibers to the back of the hook shank to create highly realistic tails for dry flies or nymphs. FEATURES: Pack of 10 pardo rooster feathers. Shoulder rooster feathers. Long, speckled, shiny fibers. Ideal material for making tails, wet fly wings, or sedges.
