JMC copper wire
is ideally sized for creating ribbing that strengthens fly patterns and adds a touch of brilliance to the bodies of artificial flies. It can be used for tying nymphs or wet flies. To best utilize its strong and shiny properties, it is recommended to wind this wire in the opposite direction to the winding of dubbing or pheasant tail fibers, for example (for the famous pheasant tail). It is possible to create the head or body of a nymph by making several close wraps of copper wire; once varnished, the result is very attractive.
