are very useful for fishing shallow spots while adding a very attractive bright touch to flies. A small nymph with a brass bead can be incredibly effective at enticing fish that feed in shallow water or that readily rise from the bottom to take a larva near the surface. By using 1.5mm brass nymph beads on size 18 or 22 hooks, your rigs will be balanced and proportionate for greater effectiveness. JMC gold nymph beads are very effective when combined with natural materials such as hare's ear dubbing, pheasant swordtail fibers, or even turkey or peacock quills.
