GAMAKATSU F11 FLY
TheGamakatsu F11 hooks
are designed to suit demanding fly tiers. The long shank of this hook is very well suited to tying rooster feather hackle flies (spiders and palmers), but it is also perfectly possible to tie a metal milliper on the hook for a weighted nymph, for example. "Dog nobbler" or "wooly bugger" style streamer patterns are perfectly possible with the larger sizes. The very sharp point is slightly curved inwards for very effective hooksets. The barb secures the hookset, but it is possible to crush it while still maintaining excellent fish retention. The F11 hook is available in many sizes. The specific methods and choice of raw materials used in the manufacture of Gamakatsu hooks result in products superior to those of all other brands. First, Gamakatsu uses high-grade, high-carbon steel, which eliminates any defects that could weaken the hook. Gamakatsu has the most advanced manufacturing system in the world. Each hook is heated to a precise temperature and then cooled in an oil bath. This process strengthens the hooks while maintaining their flexibility. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Gamakatsu's state-of-the-art sharpening process produces a perfectly conical point of unparalleled precision. FEATURES:
