monofilament allows you to create tippets and leaders with superior strength compared to traditional nylon, as well as exceptional abrasion resistance! When conditions are tough, the water is crystal clear, and the fish are skittish, fluorocarbon line makes all the difference. The refractive index of the Mirage™ range of fluorocarbon is very close to that of water, making it almost invisible to fish. You can increase your leader diameter by one or two sizes and gain fishing efficiency. Mirage Fluorocarbon is perfect for lake and reservoir fishing, and it performs exceptionally well in rivers, especially for nymphing, wet fly fishing, and streamer fishing.
