A compact (111cm) 2-piece rod with a 99% SVF carbon blank that combines sensitivity, precision, and lightness. It is designed for the most demanding anglers. Inspired by the common name for sea bass in Italy, the Branzino rods feature the latest technologies, such as Compile-X SVF carbon, which blends several types of resins to better bond the carbon fibers. Daiwa uses Toray's nanotechnology and optimizes it with its own manufacturing processes to adjust the resins to the nanometer scale! This manufacturing technique results in ultra-high-density blanks that are more sensitive, lighter, and stronger all at once. Their carbon frame retains its thickness but features a thinner sheath covering a new silver cobalt oxide ring. The frame, 30% lighter and 35% smaller, significantly increases casting distances by drastically reducing tip vibrations during the cast. To develop these new ultra-high-tech carbons, Daiwa Japan engineers used ESS technology, which analyzes the blank's resistance during casting and under tension using digital sensors. The computer records and corrects the rod's action with microscopic precision to refine the expertise of specialist anglers.
