To briefly summarize what this device can do, here are a few examples from typical catfish fishing situations. The

CATSOUNDER XRS

can indicate the different types of bites a catfish can make. For example, an attack on live bait, which manifests as a shock to the rod tip. Depending on the force of this attack, it could be a vibration almost invisible to the naked eye (in the case of a very cautious catfish) or a sharp bend in the rod tip. This type of bite is indicated by the

CATSOUNDER detector

with a specific signal for this type of bite (vibration alert). The sensitivity of this vibration (or shock) signal is adjustable to 9 positions. Maximum sensitivity is very high because many anglers want to be alerted to the slightest movement of the live bait (also to know at all times if the baitfish are still feeding). Some large catfish inhale (or seize) the bait very discreetly and then slowly sink to the bottom (or slowly swim away with the bait). These bites are indicated by a regular bend in the rod tip, sometimes very slowly forward along the line. These kinds of "rod tip" bites are indicated by the

CATSOUNDER XRS bite alarm

with a specific "tilt-alert" signal. To adapt the alarm to various conditions (wind, current, bait size, fishing distance, rod power), this "regular tilt" mode is also adjustable to 9 positions. The adjustment is completely independent of the "vibration/shock" type bite settings! Unlike other, more rudimentary bite indicators, the intelligent sensor technology developed by CARPSOUNDER provides a highly effective indication of this type of bite. The detector only sounds an alert when the rod's position changes (degree of inclination), and it stops beeping once the rod is stabilized in a new position. This is crucial because, while fishing, current strength often changes, and floating objects (weeds, leaves, branches) can snag on the line. Without CARPSOUNDER's intelligent technology, anglers would have to constantly adjust or turn off their indicator every time a new piece of weed causes the rod tip to bend further. Years of field testing by highly experienced specialists like Sven DOMBACH and Thomas FLAUGER have allowed these important details to be taken into account! A third type of bite is when the rod tip breaks: In this case, the rod bends under tension. The banner suddenly snaps back. This is indicated by the CATSOUNDER with a "break line alert" signal. To ensure the angler is properly warned of this important event, the "break line alert" signal is produced for about ten seconds. MOUNTING THE CATSOUNDER ON THE ROD: The CATSOUNDER's unique mounting system poses no risk to the rod's finish; attaching or removing the CATSOUNDER from the rod is child's play. Its mounting system is resistant to aging from UV rays, and thanks to the anti-slip pads on the back of the detector, it won't slip on the blank. DURABILITY AND WATERPROOFING: It goes without saying that the CATSOUNDER is 100% waterproof; it easily withstands prolonged immersion thanks to CARPSOUNDER's waterproofing technology. Its "clean-design" housing made of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide is virtually indestructible. For ease of use, the detector's design seamlessly integrates the controls, speaker, and The light-emitting diode is shaped to create a smooth object without any fragile elements.
