The
Garbolino LEXICA TOC 55 reel
is the perfect example of what a line reserve means for float fishing.Float fishing
with an internal line rod or natural baits doesn't require casting like with a spinning rod; propulsion is achieved using the rod's spring and the weight of the weights/baits. This propulsion system requires a small amount of line to be released automatically during the cast. To release line, simply pull on it; the reel acts as a spool, releasing only the required amount. The spool capacity is a maximum of about 100 meters, allowing you to re-rig the line after a break or to give out line during a fight with a large fish. The drag, located opposite the handle, serves two very important purposes: to slow the line release during the cast to prevent the spool from overshooting, which causes tangles, and to provide resistance during fights. Weighing approximately 50g, it is the perfect reel for anglers who prefer to hold the rod with the reel within easy reach.
